Q: How do I connect my notebook computer to the video/data projector in the classroom?
A: There should be a cable located in or on top of the cabinet connected to the AV media equipment. With so many different people using rooms, it is impossible to guarantee a working cable will be in the classroom. This situation can change from hour to hour. To be absolutely certain you will always have a cable, and never be inconvenienced by an absent or damaged cable, it’s a good investment to have your own set of cables. If the cable is not connected to the control/connection panel, please connect it to the appropriate ports. Then connect the cables to the appropriate ports on your laptop. If you have a computer with other than the standard output connection (HD15), you will need to provide your own adapter. For more detailed information, please see the "Connecting Your Computer" or Connecting your Macintosh Computer" articles in "Operating Instructions and Orientations."

MACINTOSH USER: Remember to bring a DVI->VGA adapter for the video cable.

If your computer is already turned on and connected and still not projecting, toggle VGA/Monitor output on your computer (Try Fn+F2 or Fn+F8.)
For more information, see either the "Button-Pad Control Panel" or the "Touch-Panel Control Panel" articles in "Operating Instructions and Orientations."
